Our Story
In the early spring of 1991, two women at Marshall United Methodist Church had a dream - to meet the rising need for preschool education in our community. Sheryl Grigg and Beth Young began doing the leg work that would give birth to the ministry that we now know as Marshall United Methodist Preschool (MUMPS)! The church council embraced the possibilities and gave its blessings. The day before opening, our zoning permit was approved. MUMPS became a ministry to the children in our community with a lot of help from the UMM and UMW groups and the parents of prospective students.This year we have grown from 3 to 4 half days of school and we have added a special class for 2 year old's.MUMPS is a ministry to our Marshall community and an extension of our church’s outreach as it is supported by all the church family and the surrounding community.
